Full Details:
£50 for 4 hours gives you plenty of time for a 2 hour party with time to set up and pack down at the end. This is available as either a morning session (from 8 or 9am until 12 or 1pm) or afternoon session (from 1pm or 2pm to 5 or 6pm). We take a deposit which will be returned provided no damage or loss has been made, and it is all clean - for full information on this please refer to hiring terms.
The main hall has been recently repainted and provides a beautiful backdrop to your party.
New curtain linings on the curtains are blackout and offer privacy should you wish this. Little hooks have been added on the corners of notice boards to enable you to hang your decorations and bunting easily and quickly. A short step ladder can be found in the kitchen to help. (Please don't use drawing pins, blue tack etc on the newly painted walls or wood).
The main hall will be heated to be warm in cooler months, and the heating can be adjusted using the hive app remotely. In summer months the French doors on the south side can be opened wide onto the veranda (for older children), or windows opened. The playpark is a short walk away across the unmade car park. (Please don't let children cross this car park back and forth unsupervised).
We offer a fully functional kitchen with oven (for cooking pizzas, or other food), fridge (store birthday cake, fruit etc), microwave and hob. You will find canisters of tea, coffee & sugar next to the kettles in the kitchen as we know putting on a party for children is thirsty work! Please bring along your own milk. You will find cleaning products and large brushes to make clear up simple. Please take home your black of waste if the Hall outside bins are full, otherwise you are welcome to use them.
We offer metal cutlery, china crockery and a dishwasher to use after. We offer trays, fold out tables, chairs, and some tablecloths to borrow (wash & return). Keep your event environmentally friendly with just a simple dishwash at the end. Please return items used to cupboards clean and dry.
We offer a box of decorations and handmade bunting to borrow - please return clean and folded back into box. We have a list of hall suppliers on the website.
We have Ladies, Gents and Disabled toilets and the Ladies and Gents have toilets fitted with children's toilet seats and low level sinks and hand driers. There are safety gates at the side of the stage to close and keep younger children in the hall.
Tip: Book your entertainer early!! (this is not included in the package!) Many book ahead a year already..... Many local entertainers are familiar with the hall and will bring their own set up located either at the stage end, or entrance end of the hall usually. If you are making your own entertainment the hall has its own sound system. A set of instructions is laminated and sat next to the sound system. The hall has a PRS licence which allows recorded music and radio to be played in the hall.
Choosing to hire your village hall means the money spent goes directly back into the hall - and will provide maintenance, and new facilities to the village. We are aiming to provide a safe, fun, clean, economical venue that is also beautiful so that the facilities the site provides stay in our village forever - and your children can benefit from everything offered too.
